Steven graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1986 and was called to the bar in Ontario in 1988.
With over 30 years experience, Steven represents clients in all types of immigration matters, both inside and outside Canada, as well as appeals from various types of decisions of Citizenship and Immigration Canada or the Canada Border Services Agency to the Federal Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Steven represents clients charged with all types of criminal offenses and conduct trials in all levels of courts, as well as conviction and/or sentence appeals. I also represent clients at bail hearings, bail reviews, and bail pending appeal.
Steven is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and a member of the Toronto Lawyers Association.
Steven has lectured for various Criminal Law and Immigration Law programs, as well as served as an instructor at Herzing College’s Paralegal Program, Academy of Learning Immigration Consultant Program and the Law Society of Upper Canada’s Bar Admission Course.

Karen is an Immigration Lawyer. She earned a BA in Sociology, Industrial Relations and Professional Writing from the University of Toronto. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2001. After 3 years of personal injury practice, Karen found her true calling in immigration law with a focus on skilled worker and family sponsorship applications and litigation of deportation appeals. This is her 15th year in Canadian citizenship and immigration law practice. Understanding the challenges of individuals and families who face increasingly complex processes and requirements, Karen’s mission is to help individuals and families from diverse backgrounds immigrate to Canada, reunite families in Canada, prevent deportation, ensure fairness in immigration proceedings and fearlessly advocate in the best interests of clients. Karen is a member of the Mississauga Law Chambers and Coach and Advisor Network of the Law Society of Ontario. She is a sponsor of the American Women’s Club of Southern Ontario.
Presenter: Shandana Soheil – Regulated Canadian Immigration Counsel
Shandana is an Immigration Consultant. Her company “Canada Leaf Immigration” provides Canadian immigration and citizenship services to clients from all over the world. She teaches Immigration Law at CDI College in North York. Her distinct feature is that she likes to take challenging cases,
the cases that had previously been rejected, appeal hearings, HNC, Refugee, Self-Employed cases as well as family sponsorships.
